Predictive Modelling

A major food retailer relied on human experts to manage demand forecasting of perishable goods. It was keen to explore cost savings by using data science to automate its forecasts in a consistent way but it didn’t have any experience in this area.

The algorithm improved forecasting capability and identified additional lost revenue by removing narrow heuristics and biases. It delivered more than 10x the expected savings and justified further investment in related data projects.
